Treece Anderson

Bio

Treece Anderson is a multi-talented performing artist, trained in everything from dancing, acting on stage and film, to teaching, producing and directing. She has always been considered the “Entertainer” in her family but officially began her performing arts journey majoring in Musical Theatre in high school where she studied ballet, jazz, tap, musical theatre, and many different genres. Treece’s passion for performance grew as she continued through college. Graduate from Prairie View A&M University receiving her Bachelor of Art in Theatre. She has recently joined the touring education program with The Ensemble Theatre partnered with Youth Audiences of Houston. She has appeared in shows such as Lil Man Saves Christmas (Sequoia) and Br’er Rabbit (Br’er Fox), directed by Steven J. Scott. She has also had the pleasure of gracing the stage with Fade to Black Festival in Monomachia (Adelaide Picklingsworth) directed by Trey Morgan Lewis. Some other productions she has appeared include but not limited to, Harlem After Hours (Lena Horne/Dancer), directed by Rachel Dickson; Cotton Club (Dancer), directed by C.Lee Turner at Silverhouse Theatre; A Funny Thing Happened on the way to The Forum (Phila), directed by Darryl Thompson. 


Treece has also worked backstage as a light/sound technician and make-up artist. Treece Anderson served 5 years teaching theatre, choir, and dance. There she served as the Eagles Dance Ensemble coordinator and Artistic Director for the Hispanic Heritage Festival; Lunar New Year Festival; Black History Month Festival. She was the Artistic Director of Alice in Wonderland, and Artistic Director/Dance Choreographer of The Musical: Cinderella.Treece is very active with her church as Head of Symbols of Praise Dance Ministry and Co-Youth Artistic Director with her husband at Family of Faith Fellowship Church. 


Treece looks forward to continuing education of the arts who have a passion for the craft, while also assisting in the growth, knowledge, and genuine appreciation for the Performing Arts! Break a Leg!!
