Ragan Hughes
Bio
Ragan Hughes (she/her/hers) is a Performance Coach, Director and Choreographer based in Chicago. Ragan also works at DDO Artists Agency as an Agent’s Assistant for the Chicago office. She began to focus her passion for performance into theatrical education and training for young performers and, through her audition coaching, Ragan’s students have booked Network and Pilot Television (Showtime, NBC, Nickelodeon), Commercials, and Short Film work; as well as National Tours (Elf the Broadway Musical, Frozen the Broadway Musical) and Regional Chicago theatre (Paramount, Marriott, The Goodman, The Lyric Opera, Drury Lane) and Disney’s Winnie the Pooh (Rockefeller Productions).
Having directed and choreographed nearly 50+ productions with young performers at Ovation Academy for the Performing Arts (Oak Park, IL), Ragan prides herself on combining excellence with a positive, confidence-building experience that makes a lasting impact beyond the performing arts. Highlights of Ragan’s directorial experience include six years of attending the Junior Theater Festival, most notably being awarded “Outstanding Production” ('20, '21, ’23) and presenting a New Works Showcase (JTF West ’22).
Ragan has also worked as a Young Performer Supervisor with Marriott Theater (Oliver!, A Christmas Story), assisted productions in locating and casting young performers (Morton Arboretum, Hass & Swanton, CPA Theatricals, Marriott and Paramount Theatre), and worked with CPA Theatricals as a Director, Choreogarpher and Youth Supervisor.
