Marianne Bayard is an actor, writer, movement teacher and digital artist from the Boston
area. While studying at Emerson College, Marianne explored numerous modalities of
creative expression and performance including main stage theatrical productions, film,
black box dance and self-scripted solo work. Marianne continued her training at The
Williamstown Theater Festival, The New York Theater Workshop and the 1-year clown
and physical improv conservatory program in Paris, France, Ecole Phillipe Gaulier.
Marianne has attended numerous workshops and seminars for in-person and Zoom
based film and tv audition technique. As a working actor in the Boston area, she
continues to put these skills to use.
When she’s not auditioning, Marianne teaches and develops new work. She is the co-
creator of the 9-episode web series Killing It, which screened at several web series
festivals, winning awards for comedy writing. A follow up script is in development.
Marianne also teaches movement at the modern dance studio High Street Studios in
Ipswich, MA and delights in making zany character videos on her Instagram account.
As an acting teacher, Marianne is eager to share her experience and love for
performing with children of all ages. She aims to encourage each child to bring his or
her unique gifts and personality to the stage or screen.
