Julie Hurt

Julie Hurt has been an acting coach, director, and drama teacher for the past twenty years. Her

students have gone on to work in Film, television, commercials ,industrials, voice-overs, and

professional theater. She received a B.F.A. in Acting from Northern Illinois University where

she studied under the well known Meisner teacher, Kathryn Gately. She also studied at the

London Academy of Dramatic Arts. She started her career in Musical Theater including the the

lead in the Midwest tour of The Secret Garden. She soon realized that she loved teaching and

coaching acting to aspiring actors. She resides in Chicago where she works as and actor, voice-

over artist and acting coach. She is also an adjunct professor for Moraine Valley Community

College.

With experience from live hosting to working on a hit Nickelodeon sitcom, Christine is a seasoned professional. Her work ethic and attitude have carried her through New York City, Las Vegas, and Los Angeles. 

Over the years, you may have seen her as a guest joker on Impractical Jokers (TruTV), as Jamie on The Rookie (ABC), or as Valerie on Seasons 1 and 2 of Puppy Place (Apple TV+). You've likely heard her voice on TV, Radio, or the internet for Discovery, HBO, or as Bodie, the virtual helper and spokes-voice for Sounds True One. 

You can interact with her as Rusera in Journey to Foundation on PS VR2 or as the main antagonist of the critically acclaimed, award-winning video game Thirsty Suitors (Outerloop Games & Annapurna Interactive). Nowadays, she really does have her dream career!
